Multi-Shoot Considerations
When using multi-shoot seed openers, mixing between seed and fertiliser may occur.
SIDE BAND SEED OPENERS

Fertiliser Type: Granular N, Granular N + Liquid Phos, Liquid N, Liquid N + Liquid Phos
Overview: Seed is placed in a 3/4″ (19 mm) band onto a firm, unfractured seedbed. Liquid phos is delivered on top of the seed. Fertiliser is delivered in a band off to the side (right or left) on the same level as the seed. Tip provides low disturbance, low draft and smoother fields.

Fertiliser Type: Granular N, Granular N + Liquid Phos, Liquid N, Liquid N + Liquid Phos
Overview: Seed is placed in 3/4″ (19 mm) above and to the side of the fertiliser row, after the carbide wafer under the tip’s wing seals the fertiliser trench. Fertiliser is placed in the centre 3/4″ (19 mm) below the seed bed.

Fertiliser Type: Liquid N
Overview: This is the only multi-shoot opener available for use with the Speed-Loc™ system. It provides good horizontal separation with a slight vertical seed/fertiliser separation. These openers work very well when used with a pressurized liquid system.

Fertiliser Type: Starter Fertiliser w/ Seed Only + Liquid Phos
Overview: The seed is directed rearward through the holder which places the seed in two rows onto
a firm, unfractured seed bed. Extra hard surfacing on critical wear areas increases the life of the holder. For liquid phos option order 686-ASY-3011P.
